Programming Service Codes Using NEC SL2100 PCPro Easy Edit Mode

This Tech Tip demonstrates how to use the Easy Edit tab in PCPro to quickly add, modify, or delete system service codes on the NEC SL2100 phone system. This method is more user-friendly than manually editing individual programs.

This procedure requires access to the NEC SL2100 using the PCPro Programming Software.

PCPro Programming Steps

1. On the lower left side of the screen, click on the “Easy Edit” tab.
2. Click the plus sign next to “Quick Install” to expand the section.
3. Click the plus sign next to “System” to expand the list.
4. Click on “3 Digit Codes.”
   • The list of system service codes will appear in alphabetical order.
   • Features requiring a service code will be shown.
   • Use the search bar at the top to search by name or by code.
   • You can sort the “Code” column numerically by clicking the top of the column.
5. To change, add, or delete a code:
   • Highlight the code in the right-hand pane.
   • Make your changes.
6. Click the “Apply” button to save your changes.
   • The Apply button looks like a rubber stamp, located just to the right of the disk icon.
7. Click the “Upload” button (red upward arrow) to upload your changes to the phone system.
