Activating the 10-Day Temporary License on the NEC SL2100 or SL1100

The 10-Day Temporary License is a great way to let users try licensed features before purchasing them. When activated, all system licenses become active for 10-days and can be re-activated more than once.

This Tech Tip applies to both the NEC SL2100 and SL1100 phone systems.

Activating the Temporary License

The following steps must be performed from an idle telephone connected to the phone system:

1. Press the following keys in order: SPEAKER # * # *
2. Dial 12345678 then press HOLD
3. Dial 903701
4. Dial 10 then press HOLD
5. Press MUTE two times, then press SPEAKER

Reboot the Phone System

1. Turn off the phone system using the power switch
2. Wait for all CPU LEDs to turn off
3. Turn the power switch back on

Verify the Changes Using PCPro

2. Perform a database download
3. Click the Feature Activation button at the top of the screen
4. Verify that all licenses are now enabled
